Here's hoping east coast friends are safe and well.

No power over here, and probably none until this weekend, but I've found a coffee joint in a corner of the city that's still fairly functional, and here you have it. We've stocked up for the duration, more batteries than I've ever before set eyes on, a lukewarm bottle of chardonnay, and a stack of notebooks and Ticonderoga No. 2's, the good ones.

To that end, prompt me!?! Something you have a hankering to read? It could be for a previous story or something entirely different. In other words, a distraction would be great. I'll be around for a couple more hours, and can sorta check email sometimes.

Thanks! We're doing a-okay over here. A couple of trees down in the yard and some missing siding, but we never leaked or flooded, so that very good news on that front.
